Monday: Cutting Torch
Good day to all. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a great day. Please add the next tool to your Tool ID Brochure.
To get started we are going to pass back the Concrete Unit Test. Look it over and make sure no mistakes were made. If you have questions about how the test was scored you need to ask them now. If you missed taking the test, you can make it up Wednesday at lunch.
For today, we are going to jump into a mini lesson. We are going to talk about something completely different, but a tool and a skill you will use on a constant basis next year in the new shop. Today, we are going to break down, go over, and learn all about the cutting torch. Please download and open up the Pages document to help you take the notes for today.
Wednesday:
Okay. today we finish the notes, then you are off to do a project.
You will need to make a keynote about how to set up, light, and shut down the oxy-fuel torch. For this you can use the photos that were emailed to you, or find ones online. Then you will use your notes and make step-by-step slide directions to tech others how to light the torch. You may do a voice over, or use text captions to tell the step.
